OVERVIEW

Sensor networks are very important in several state of the art systems/devices today. Technology is rapidly moving towards management and analysis of massive data for improving the performance and robustness of all AI systems. And sensor networks have become inevitable in collection of  real-world data in massive volumes.
Our objective in this project was to develop a sensor network in the IIT campus to acquire bird sounds throughout the area. This data can be used to classify the birds based on their cries and we developed a preliminary classifier for the same purpose. This was a small step towards developing a network of greater magnitude for diverse applications in future.
